Affirmation station for encouraging a growth mindset display idea
Create your very own Positive Affirmation Station for your classroom using this stunning set of 48 individual affirmations and heading banners in both bunting letters and title heading.
What is an affirmation? An affirmation is a short phrase that is recited with the purpose of empowering students, these can be used with all students from elementary, middle school and high school and would make a valuable bulletin board or mirror decoration in your classroom.
How can I implement an Affirmation Station? Teachers have used this display to create gorgeous displays of positivity in their classrooms and home learning areas with many placing the affirming phrases / adjectives around a mirror. Students look at themselves in the affirmations mirror each morning and choose a phrase or word that represents what they would like to work on that day. This would also make a gorgeous door display!
These affirmations can also be placed on students’ desks if you feel they need extra encouragement or motivation. I have even sent this home as notes to encourage my students.
How can I use this resource? Choose from the pre-made affirmations included in the pack and give your students their daily dose of happiness and positive vibes. Teachers and adults will benefit from these too! This is a simple resource which requires little prep and once its laminated will last for years!

Mindfulness and meditation cards for your classroom gratitude practice
In a busy world classroom, the mind is constantly pulled from one idea or happening to the next, scattering thoughts and emotions and leaving students feeling stressed, highly-strung and at times quite anxious.
If you have students who need to take a moment of calm in elementary. Primary or kindergarten then these easy, no prep cards will be perfect for your young learners.
A short break and moment of calm can allow your students to reset and you may be amazed at how you visibly see them destress!
It is essential for our students wellbeing to take a few minutes each day to cultivate mental spaciousness and achieve a positive mind-body balance.
These 5 minute in the moment cards take very little effort and can be done pretty much anywhere, at any time when you feel your class needs a moment of calm.
Simply stop and settle the students, read the card and allow five minutes for the students to observe and practice. Expand upon the card and allow the students to delve into their thoughts.
Alternatively you could allow the students to choose their own card and practice a calm moment.
Included in this pack is:
20 x 5 minute in the moment cards
20 x backs for cards when laminated
Bundle
Social and Emotional learning (SEL) bundle
Do your student struggle to use positive behaviour when they have strong emotions?
Do your student use negative self-talk when they feel upset?
This resource bundle is perfect for elementary and primary classrooms where teaching about positive self talk, emotional regulation and feelings can make a huge difference to effort and self esteem. The emphasis is on self-talk, gratitude and affirmations with repetition and practice exercises to embed this concept and make it an asset to their learning.
If you have students who are negative and are struggling to see any good in themselves or others this workbook is a valuable tool to help in making them aware of their own self talk and its impact on their mental health.
This resource can be used in health lessons, pastoral sessions or with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety or depression.
Self talk and self regulation are things which can be changed and if you have students who’s default response is ‘I can’t’ then this work pack could do them the world of good!
